Hong Liang is a Chinese painter currently based in Birmingham, known for her expressive watercolor and acrylic artworks. Her paintings capture beauty, emotion, and the essence of life, depicting vibrant flowers, serene women, and poetic scenes from ancient and modern times. Deeply influenced by her grandfather, an art teacher, Hong began painting at a young age and pursued her passion through a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Fine Arts, and a PhD. She specializes in Chinese painting on rice paper, fascinated by the interplay of controlled and natural artistic elements.
Beyond creating, she teaches at the university level, mentoring students to find their artistic voice.
