Goal

Lesya Stankevich, an artist from Odesa, Ukraine, transforms gingerbread dough and sugar glaze into symbolic paintings, blending confectionery and fine art. With a master’s degree in architecture, she co-founded URURUR, an art gift brand, but later shifted her focus entirely to artistic expression. Inspired by the fragility of life, her work reflects emotions shaped by war and resilience. Through her art, she explores themes of grief, hope, and transformation, using unconventional materials to highlight life's delicate yet enduring nature. Living in wartime Ukraine, Lesya balances art with volunteering, believing that creativity is a universal language that helps process emotions when words fail. Her pieces serve as a guide for self-reflection and shared understanding, turning pain into beauty and despair into strength.
