Into the Blue

Brent Cooke is an award-winning Canadian sculptor known for his dynamic bronze wildlife sculptures that capture movement and storytelling. Born in Vancouver in 1947, he has spent most of his life on Vancouver Island, working in wood, stone, clay, and bronze for over 60 years. With a background in marine biology, Brent worked at the Royal BC Museum for 13 years, refining his skills in aquatic zoology and underwater photography. His art, inspired by nature, is meticulously crafted to convey realism and motion. Brent has received numerous accolades, including the Robert Bateman Award and Best in Show at the Artists for Conservation Festival. His sculptures are featured in galleries across North America, the Middle East, and China. Beyond art, he is a director at Artists for Conservation and the Deeley Motorcycle Exhibition. Through his work, Brent invites viewers to experience nature’s untamed beauty in tactile, lifelike form.
